About US
The San Marcos Educational Foundation is a nonprofit organization made up of retired educators and dedicated San Marcos community members who continue to believe deeply in supporting local students and teachers.
Founded in 1983, the Foundation provides grants directly to San Marcos Unified teachers, helping bring creative ideas and enriching learning experiences to life in their classrooms. These grants give educators additional resources to introduce innovative projects, purchase specialized materials, and create opportunities for students that may not otherwise be possible within traditional school budgets.
Since its founding, the Foundation has contributed more than $600,000 to San Marcos public schools, supporting generations of students and educators.
100% of donations go directly back to our schools—supporting teachers, enriching classrooms, and creating new opportunities for San Marcos students.
OUR PRIORITIES
We invest in programs that provide access to all students and focus on enhancing talent and leadership among our students. We want equal opportunities for everyone and provide enrichment activities & partner with educational programs to help them prepare for careers in the future.
